When not behind a mic, nisha is on set as an Intimacy Coordinator, (Never Have I Ever, Mayans) or supporting clients and groups with Holistic Wellness with a specialization as an Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner alongside Culturally Rooted Somatic Healing, and Energy Work.

Formerly an actor with Canada’s National Arts Centre’s Resident Acting Company, nisha is also published playwright with 30 People Watching co-written with Amelia Sarggison (ReView: an anthology of plays committed to social justice, Sense Publishers, 2016), Un-Settling (Canadian Theatre Review, 2016) , and an excerpt of Cycle of a Sari (Refractions: Solo, Playwright Canada Press, 2014), alongside her unpublished Yoga Cannibal (2008). Some favourite artist residencies include Buddies in Bad Times (Toronto), Canadian Stage, Cahoots Theatre (Toronto), Balacoa (Goa, India), and Pattio Taller (Puerto Rico) .

nisha holds a specialized BA honours in Theatre Creation + Performance, minor in International Development from York University (Toronto), is a Registered Naturotherapy Practitioner graduating from the Centre of Ayurveda and Indian Systems of Healing (Toronto), and is a Certified Intimacy Coordinator through Cintima Co. (formerly Centaury Co., Los Angeles).
